Imagine that you are driving and your car begins to move out of its lane. You turn the steering wheel just enough to get back into the proper lane.

In a similar way, Jehovah may discipline us when we start moving in a wrong direction. He gives us the correction we need to help us get back on the right course.
[Do not announce heading.]
If someone has made serious mistakes, could that person still come back to Jehovah? And what would Jehovah expect from that person?
Notice the reassuring answer at Jeremiah 29:12, 13.
True repentance includes making changes.
Jehovah is ready to listen when our repentance is sincere.
